Episode 7 - Building a prompt library for marketing

Welcome to the SalesWings Podcast—where we dive deep into martech, SaaS, sales enablement, and the strategies reshaping marketing today. In this episode, we explore one of the hottest and most practical challenges in the GenAI era: Marketing AI Effectiveness.

Generative AI has already crossed the chasm. McKinsey reports that 65% of organizations are now using generative AI and overall AI adoption has surged to 72% in 2024. For digital marketers, this presents both massive opportunity and new friction: how do you capture, standardize, and share the prompts that actually work—without losing them in endless chat threads and personal docs?

At SalesWings, we believe that the future of marketing effectiveness isn’t about adding yet another AI model—it’s about operational excellence around prompts. That means building systems for governance, reuse, version control, and collaboration so your marketing team can scale impact, not inefficiency.

In this episode, we guide you through the best solutions for creating a prompt library for marketing—tools and workflows that help teams share, annotate, and distribute winning prompts where the work actually happens. Whether you’re a digital marketing leader, content strategist, lifecycle marketer, or marketing ops professional, you’ll learn how to move from prompt chaos to consistent, measurable results.

Topics we cover in this episode:

• What an AI prompt library is and why it matters for marketing effectiveness

• The criteria for selecting the right prompt-sharing tools

• Best tools for marketing prompt libraries: Notion, Text Blaze, Briskine, Coda, Guru, Airtable, Confluence, Slab, Typedesk, and Magical

• How to pair a knowledge hub (wiki or doc workspace) with a snippet tool (text expander) for daily execution

• Real-world use cases across SEO, ads, email, lifecycle flows, customer support, and campaign QA

• Tips for governance, adoption, and scaling prompt libraries without overwhelming teams

Why does this matter? Because prompt excellence is becoming a marketing competency. From ad copy to email flows, SEO briefs to brand voice consistency, the difference between random experimentation and repeatable performance often comes down to how well teams manage and distribute their prompts.

You’ll also hear a buyer’s guide to avoid common pitfalls—like tool sprawl, lack of verification, and libraries that gather dust instead of driving real impact. Plus, we share practical rollout steps, adoption strategies, and quick wins so you can implement a prompt library your team will actually use.

If you’ve been struggling with inconsistent AI outputs, prompt sprawl across different apps, or no way to measure what works, this episode is for you.

Tune in now and learn how to unlock true Marketing AI Effectiveness by operationalizing prompts—the next big unlock for digital marketing productivity.
