Funmi Adewara: A doctor for everyone: helping Africa overcome its health challenges

An exodus of doctors and expensive, long journeys to health facilities mean many Africans cannot access the healthcare they need. Dr. Funmi Adewara has set out to change all that. A medical doctor by training, she is the founder of telemedicine company Mobihealth International, which launched commercially in early 2020 - just before the Covid-19 pandemic. She joins Making a Difference to explain how African start-ups like hers are leveraging modern tech and AI to leapfrog challenges and allow patients to access healthcare remotely.
