Most of us know very little about development evaluation, yet it is an increasingly respected discipline that reassures and informs policy- and decision-makers, practitioners, investors, citizens, and stakeholders of all types. Karen Rot-Münstermann, Evaluator General, leads IDEV, the Independent Development Evaluation function of the African Development Bank Group, where 50 or so staff and consultants deliver evidence to the Bank’s Board of Directors, Management, and various stakeholders.
