In May of 2022, a respected and energetic 3rd grade teacher headed out to celebrate the last day of the school year -- enjoying a carefree night of laughter and cocktails with her boyfriend and two other couples. She had no way of knowing, however, it would actually be her last day. How did a random split-second interaction end up setting off a ticking time bomb?
