Episode 5 - Blanca Serrano

In this episode we invite Dr. Blanca Serrano, the Secretary General of ECETOC (European Centre for Ecotoxicology and Toxicology of Chemicals), where she leads efforts to advance the science behind chemical risk assessment. She fosters scientific collaboration on emerging approaches, including New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) and Next-Generation Risk Assessment (NGRA), to support regulatory decision-making. A scientist at heart, Blanca has published research in nanotechnology and chemical safety. She earned her PhD in nanotechnology from Eindhoven University of Technology, where she specialised in nanostructuring techniques for optoelectronic applications.
