That morning, at Lila's school, a big table is covered with fresh white paper. On it, brushes and pots of colour: red like a strawberry, yellow like the sun, blue like the big gate. Miss Lou claps her hands: «Today is painting day!» All the children cheer «yay!»… all of them, except one. Lila takes a little step back.

A touch of red, a touch of yellow, a big scribble shaped like a sun… and she discovers the pure joy of creating, no longer thinking about stains at all.
