Brillante #4 Anna Hu, the Jewelry artist who mixes Asian and European traditions
Anna Hu is known worldwide, she founded her brand in 2007, her jewelry is exhibited at the Musée des Arts Décoratif in Paris and at the TEFAF in Maastricht and she has received numerous distinctions. She talks about her know-how, her inspirations and her techniques.
She deciphers her pieces and her work with the best craftsmen and explains her partnership with Moussaieff. European artist of Asian origin and former cellist turned jeweler.
Anna Hu finds her jewelry inspiration in music because as a child, she was a cello prodigy before an injury interrupted her career at the dawn of success. Since then, she has completely reinvented herself, completed 5 degrees in 7 years in the best schools: gemmological institute in America, Fashion institute of Gemmology, History of art, Parsons School of Design, Columbia university.
She declares herself a workaholic!
Transmission is at the heart of her missions, as such, she has written 10 books and this year she led a partnership with the students of the Haute Ecole de Joaillerie to pass onto them what is close to her heart: the alliance of Asian and Europe traditions.
Her advice for young women just starting out: « Congratulation, welcome to hell and don’t give up! » Good listening
