AspirE S2 #5 - AspirE’s policy briefs : an assessment of EU migration policies
The last episode of AspirE's second podcast series features Anjum Shabbir who represents the think tank Centre of European Policy Studies (CEPS) and Asuncion Fresnoza-Flot, the main Principal Investigator of the AspirE project.
They proposed several policy recommendations at EU and country levels to adopt a more humanising approach to regular migration in the EU.

The AspirE Podcast dives into the human side of (re)migration in and to the EU. Produced as part of the 3-year Horizon Europe project AspirE ("Asian Prospects in (re)migration to/within the EU") and coordinated by Asuncion Fresnoza-Flot, Catherine Gonzalez and Frederik Ponjaert(EAst) for the Université libre de Bruxelles, the podcast explores why people decide to move—or stay—through a unique lens that is gender-aware, decolonial, and context-sensitive.
Across three series, you'll hear from researchers, experts, and aspiring (re)migrants themselves. From policy analysis to personal video diaries, AspirE examines how migration decisions are shaped by time, relationships, emotions, and systems—both in Asia and Europe.
