He has a strong track record in B2B technology, specializing in go-to-market strategies, customer success, finance operations, M&A, and global expansion. As a member of the global executive leadership team, he oversees sales, marketing, and customer success, ensuring value delivery for both enterprise and mid-market clients.
Prior to Staffbase, he co-founded and established Akumina as a leader in the Employee Experience Platform space, securing strategic growth financing with Accenture Ventures and spearheading sales, marketing, strategy, and operational functions. Prior to founding Akumina, Maffei doubled B2B SaaS revenue for publicly-traded Carbonite (now OpenText) and grew total revenue to over $125 million, solidifying the company’s reputation as a disaster recovery market leader. Prior to Carbonite, Maffei held senior go-to-market executive roles at Bridgeline Digital and Ektron (now Optimizely).
