Charlene & Ward - Way Coffee Roasters

In Ghent we met Charlene de Buysere and Ward De Corte, the founders of WAY, in their roasting and coffee shop in the dock, north of the city.

Before founding WAY and Ward becoming the roaster, Charlene was a barista and went on to compete with a great track record. She is the 2012 Aeropress World Champion and Belgian Champion for the Brewer's Cup in 2014 and Barista in 2011.

Together we talked at length about their definition of specialty coffee, its future and what WAY's customers are looking for when they come to drink or buy a coffee from them.
